We have been invited to participate in an girl's indoor fall lacrosse season at the Reisterstown Park Sportsplex (401 Mitchell Drive 21136). 10 game season running Oct. 8 thru Dec. 18.  Specifically, games will be based on the following, 1 hour games starting on the hour.  Field players will be 7 v 7 (6 plus a goalie). 

Girls Tykers: Saturdays 9:00-1:00

Girls Lightning: Tues & Fri. 6:00-9:00

Girls Midgets: Sat. 2:00-5:00 

First, we know that this fall schedule is not timing ideal given soccer, volleyball, and field hockey overlap.  However, Baltimore County took over the indoor facilities at Reisterstown and Perring two years ago and gave priority to soccer in the winter months.  As a result, indoor lacrosse has taken a back seat recently and this is when the season is held.  We will continue to look for other avenues of winter play but at this point, this is the only planned indoor season. 

With that said, after some casual survey amongst some of the CM families, we decided to overload the rosters and parse out play based on availability of players per game schedule.  That means we may allow for 20 to 25 on a roster and then have the age level coach build a game schedule with rosters on a week by week basis based on who is available to play.  In a worst case scenario, you may only get to play in 5 games if everyone can attend every game.  Based on feedback, we do not think that will be the case though.  Also, in consideration for a potentially less than 10 game participation per player, we will cut the fees to $25 a player.  So even if you only get to 3 games, that would be about $8 per game.

PLEASE NOTE:  Your registration fee must be paid on line at the time of registration, IF YOUR REGISTRATION FEE IS NOT PAID YOUR PLAYER WILL NOT BE ROSTERED!

We will field one team each at the Tyker, Lightening, and Midget age levels.  If we get enough response at the Lightening level, we may add a second team.  Age eligibility is based on NEXT spring's rules:  

Tyker: 9-1-02 through 8-31-05

Lightening: 9-1-00 through 8-31-02

Midget: 9-1-98 through 8-31-00 

I need a volunteer to be the age level administrator/coach for Tyker.  I also need some assistant coaches at the Lightening and Midget age level as well.  Katie Kotras will lead one Lightening team but needs a second coach as she has conflicts with the schedule already.  Also Mike Stack will lead the Midget team.  Please get back to me (jfmterp@msn.com) if you are interested in any of these open positions. 

Online registration will open up September 23, 2011 and you will be required to pay at time of sign up.  It will be on a first come, first served basis.  We will limit the rosters to about 14 per game to make playing time manageable.
